Crisis Disclaimer / Safety Notice
Effective Date: January 6, 2026 Organization: GGBT Impact Foundation (“GGBT Impact,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) Crisis Disclaimer / Safety Notice Effective Date: January 6, 2026 GGBT Impact Foundation GGBT Impact Foundation provides peer support and resource connections. We are not an emergency service. If You Are In Immediate Danger If you believe you are in immediate danger or may harm yourself or someone else: Call 911 now (U.S.), or your local emergency number. If you can’t call, go to the nearest emergency room, or ask someone nearby for help. If You Are In Crisis (U.S.) If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, emotional distress, or a mental health/substance use crisis: Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, U.S.) You can also use their chat option online. What Our Service Can and Can’t Do We can: connect you with a screened peer supporter (when available), provide a space to talk (text/voice/video), share general resources and next steps. We can’t: provide medical care, therapy, diagnosis, or clinical treatment, guarantee immediate response at all times, replace emergency services. Safety Escalation If during a conversation we believe there is an immediate risk of serious harm to you or someone else, we may: attempt to contact you directly, contact emergency services (such as 911), share limited information needed to help responders locate you or address the emergency (for example, your name, phone number, and address/location information as available). If You Can, Please Do This Before You Connect To help us support you faster, consider being ready to share: your general location (city/state), and whether you are safe right now. You Matter Reaching out is not weakness — it’s a next step. If you need urgent help, please use the crisis resources above first.
